The City of Lodi is situated in a beautiful valley among gently rolling hills near the Wisconsin River in scenic south central Wisconsin. The city has a population of 3,050 residents as of 2010.
One of the main attractions around the Lodi area is the Gibraltar Rock Stat Natural Area. This natural area is home to one of the state’s Ice Age Trails and has breathtaking views over the valleys from the top of the bluffs. The hike up is a fairly easy one, meaning it is something that people of all ages can experience. To the west of town is the Treinen Farm Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch. Treinen Farm is open on weekends from Labor Day up until the second weekend in November. The farm is most commonly known for its corn mazes that could be considered art pieces. The mazes are so popular that they have been featured nationwide by the Travel Chanel, HGTV, MSN, USA Today, The Smithsonian, and many more! These mazes take a very long time to create and are etched out into the shape of many different things. Some past mazes have been shaped in the designs of Leonardo da Vinci’s Vitruvian Man, Icarus, a pirate ship, and a dragon.
In the city there are many different activities to do. If you enjoy golfing, check out the Lodi Golf Club. The course is an executive, 9 hole course with a fair mix of par 3’s and 4’s. The course also has leagues that residents can participate in that runs from early May through September. The city also has multiple parks for residents to enjoy a nice day with their family, or just to get out and get some fresh air. Goeres Park also has a swimming pool that is free to the public and offers changing rooms, chairs, lockers, and a zero depth wading area.
A strong community with amazing scenery, Lodi is truly one of the gems in Central Wisconsin. If the feel of Lodi is what you’re after, check out a listing and make the move today!
